I am glad that I got a chance to be a part of the Interfaith Women’s Residency Program at the Union. The program is a great way to deepen my own faith as well as to explore faith of my fellow residents. It also provides a space and opportunity where I can ask questions and learn other religions and religious practices without a concern and intimidation.
Moreover, I love the Gothic architecture of the Union Theological Seminary and it feels different to be a resident here. The residency in such environment instills a feeling of my important mission, which is to building peace through sharing my religion, culture and life experience.
The diverse backgrounds of the fellows make the Interfaith Women’s Residency Program very interesting and exceptional. The women of different age, educational background, culture and religion cook together, have movie nights, book discussions, organize events and attend each other’s religious temples and share their sacred feelings.
From the very beginning, I feel that this nine months program is going to be exciting and I will form life-long friendships.
